COURSE STATEMENT

Is “There is a risk we will cross the budget of the project?” a correct identification of a risk?” Are we able to propose specific reactions on the grounds of such a statement? If we conduct such reactions, will the risk get lower (whatever it means)? Are we perhaps discussing a risk effect not uncertain event?

If we come to risk management on the “it has to be, it is” principle, then each Board Member, Programme and Project Manager, operation unit director and each actively involved in an undertaking will face such and similar dilemmas.

Our lifetime experience shows first and main disabling factor of risk management is an inadequate organization culture and related inability to correctly identify risks.

With the understanding of the importance of the problem we propose a training explaining how in practice to identify and in consequence manage the risk.

The training takes a formula of knowledge transfer – the managers of each level that want to implement practical and what is most important effective risk management for their areas.

COURSE AGENDA

The theoretical layer of the training is based on the word-wide ISO 31000 standard. The training is focused on independent activity of the participants under the supervision of experienced practitioner. The course agenda includes:

• brief presentation of ISO 31000 standard in practical terms
• training of risk identification based on the given and shared earlier scenario
• showing to the participants follow on actions after risk identification
